If your fighting a solo rare after clearing trash, just override the old EP on it with a manually cast EP while having MR available to immediately buff EP with MR. With MR buffed EPs being re-applied every 8 seconds i suppose if that’s what happens when playing Uliana’s. The first 3-hit combo will apply EP with MR, then afterwards SSS will gain it each time since EP is not consumed and stays applied. MR kinda sorts itself out when fighting rift guardians too.

Honestly i wouldn’t worry about trying to control MR too much, as long as your spending spirit with SSS and applying exploding palm, one of them will gain MR after each 3-hit combo. It’s enough for rares and rift guardians, but i reckon that for clearing trash it’s more worthwhile to consume a MR with SSS instead, since it will buff every strike of that skill.ĮDIT: Actually 3-hit combos will automatically apply MR to one of the EPs applied to an enemy when clearing trash, so it would take two 3-hit combos to buff SSS with MR, with the second combo performed on enemies that all already have EP applied. I hope this helps, Uliana’s can be a fun set to play.Īccording to the author of that thread, yes just one EP at a time will be buffed by MR. Maybe just SSS after gaining MR if you need resource from primary attacks. When i played Uliana’s i didn’t do this because i used the Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac to cooldown SSS with Cyclone Strike spams, having some RCR and spirit regen with my build. It might also be worthwhile to gain a MR stack before each cast of SSS, if your build allows for it. Rift Guardians should automatically gain a MR buffed EP if they are alone i think. If a rare (yellow) elite already has an EP and you applied it and others to multiple monsters at once, you can manually apply a MR buffed EP on the yellow by manually casting EP on it after a 3-hit combo. All existing EP durations refreshed.īasically freshly applied EPs can gain the MR buff, but only on one enemy at a time. If all targets already have an existing EP on them, MR is -NOT- consumed, and no MR-buffed-EPs are applied. ONE of those targets without a previous EP will have a MR-buffed-EP applied to them. Confusing right?Īpplies a “fresh EP” to all targets without EP. So U2 -DOES- consume the Mythic Rhythm buff… but only if there is a valid target to apply a “fresh” EP to. So how does this affect Mythic Rhythm? MR is a passive that increases the damage of your next "damaging spirit spender by 40%" What I thought it meant was ‘spirit spending spender that does damage’ when infact it has no spirit spending requirement, only that it be classified as damaging. Manually Applying EP is the only way to overwrite an existing EP. You might want to check that in-game yourself though, it was a long time ago so i might be wrong.ĮDIT: I found an old thread that says otherwise I have a vague memory of testing this and i think Mystic Rhythm requires spending spirit to activate, so it will boost Seven Sided Strike instead which is still good.
